If you don't want to use rivets you could do the same thing with screws. Just make sure it will fit below the trim so you don't look all ghetto.

The best stuff to use is the mr-10 but is pricey. It won't scratch very easily so it's a good one to use.
So the street-legality of it depends on how good I make it look?
