i dont know about this whole EVO vs. STi bit....

it just seems to me like the magazines were biased before the cars even appeared.... i drove an evo.... i kept my WRX...
it isnt the money, i can afford it, It just wasnt worth the money to me... and for gods sake, someone teach mitsubishi how to build a dash... other than that, tons of quelling vibration in the steering wheel at idle... NICE brakes.... and sharp steering.. but to be honest, youd have to be a die hard subaru or DSM fan to pick either way.... except the tailights... its kinda sad mitsu looked to APC for that one... get the VII front bumper, and the tails... good to go... besides, a flat 4 barks like nothing else out there : )

all in all an indiscernible difference, and its unlikely anyone but a pure professional will ever see a difference in, but the extra grunt from the 2.5 is probably a nice addition for daily driving... and the fact that the STi supposedly does good AWD burnouts... if my car gets wrecked, or i decide to get rid of it for some off reason, one of those 2 is the way im going...

my only question is, why are dealerships carrying a few evos, and STi's are gone before i see em? Suncoast Mitsu in NPR has 8 evos i think? wtf? is there something about the car i should know?

besides, 19 psi? ive heard quite a few times that they ping showroom stock, and ive seen 2 STi's on the dyno, in a 110 degree room, and they didnt complain a bit! its too bad an evo wasnt there to back itself up... i wonder why mitsu didnt put a LSD in the front of the evo? STi has em all? besides, HOOD SCOOPS RULE.... sorry, just my unbiased biased opinion..
both cars rock... im not bashing either in any way. anyone who leaves em stock sux!
