Stick w/ under 12:1. Running 12:1 is at the very edge of what is possible to run on pump gas and keeps you from being able to advance ign timing. Unless your planning on running some very big cams you will be able to make just as much power and be more reliable running about 11-11.6:1 w/ timing advance.

lsvtec b16a head w/ usdm itr pist ~ 10.9:1
lsvtec b16a head w jdm itr pist ~11.2:1 (best choice)
lsvtec b16a head w/ usdm b16a pist ~ 11.6:1
gsr head will yield a little higher c/r
