i didnt mean to make you delete your previous statement. but yeah, almost all imports are more to insure than domestics. this is due to the high theft rates and cost of repair. i've been doing this for three years and people are surprized just like you every day.

note: this only applies to full coverage. if you only put liability on a car, the theft and collision rating are thrown out. and liability would be more on the mustang because its heavier and would do more damage to another car.

when most people think of comparing insurance on an import to a domestic and it costing more. its because most comparing a current year domestic to an old ass import. of course the newer car will be more than an older car, either way
