I like that car; I'm willing to ignore the name's history.

My friend's dad had an early-2000's-ish Taurus which stands out as one of my least favorite cars ever. Crap exterior, crap interior, crap power, crap handling, crap power windows that rattled and groaned, crap fuel pumps that burned out if you dropped below 1/8th a tank of gas, crap everything in a low-mileage car purchased brand new.

With Ford's massive increase in quality and general awesome-ness over the last few years I fully expect this new car will be completely different and better.
