is not it.
The Nissan GT-R found a place in his ‘good’ list however and so did the Caterham R500. The latter, purely because it was faster than the mighty Veyron around the TG track and priced thirty times less! Just when one had though he had settled for the Caterham, the Corvette ZR1 came in out of nowhere. With its sublime supercharged V8, the ‘Vette can be quite the car to either chug along smoothly around town going almost un-noticed or can prove to be an extremely potent and lethal simultaneously. This Dr. Jekyll - Mr. Hyde character is what makes this American supercar quite astonishing!
What won it for the ZR1 though is that it comes at a superb price for the kind of performance it delivers. Heck, it has seen off the Nissan GT-R and the Porsche 911 GT2 around the track! Hammond and May might disagree, but Jeremy’s take on the ‘Vette stands for the year 2009.
