im running skunk 2 stage 1 tuner cams on stock valve train. theyre a hair better than itr cams BUT i cant rev them past 8200 bc i dont want to float valves. the itr cams and my cams will make peak power prob around 8400-8600 rpm. you NEED valve train to take full advantage of your cams potential. you dont NEED to port the head. when u do that ull sacrifice some low end power for top end if its done wrong. this is a street motor...not an all out dragger. you dont need an overly huge cam. just something with a broad power band. if i were you id spend the most money on the cams/valvetrain, header, and intake manifold/tb. get an exhaust no smaller than 60mm which is 2 3/8". make sure u get a header with a 2.5" collector! otherwise ur not gonna make 200.
