mr vega knows his stuff. honestly to get closer to the 200 whp mark on itr cams youll need to move more air (ie larger displacement). however if your motor is healthy and has good compression id say with a ported head and itr cams youll be close. a friend of mine laid down 187 at the wheels with a stock gsr head and bottom end, bolt ons, cam gears, and tune. but again he had a very healthy gsr. with your displacement itl be hard to make those type r cams get you to 200. youre gonna be in the ball park as far as compression with the p30 pistons. youll need a good header (itr, hytech, smsp, etc...) ive seen many motors make 200 at the wheels with the itr header, but ull also need a good exhaust system. for your app i would get the toda type a cams. they should make 200 whp and they are GREAT street cams with tons of midrange. good luck with the build. it should be a 13 second car.
