Shoot just noticed a question I can answer

Its a 3.0L inline 6 engine. Its pretty strong the weak point is the head gasket which can be torqued up from factory specs to improve its life. The factory turbo is the CT-26. Cant find the specs right now but its a good turbo that can be rebuilt to support somewhere around 400-500hp with fuel upgrades. Not sure what else would fit on the stock manifold. The 5 spd. tranny is strong but Im not sure what kind of max hp it can support. There are MKIIIs on the net with about 400hp on the stock tranny. Stock the cars are 232hp. Id say theyre worth upgrading. Theres a lot of potential in them but remember its a car thats at least 9 years old. A rebuild may not be too far in the future and other things like a brittle wiring harness or bad power steering pump can happen over time.

I bought an 88 Turbo not long ago and it keeps turning more and more into a project.. want to know how soft a 13 year old (stock) suspension is??
