anywho... i can picture what happend in my head and it all makes sense... i just cant figure out what caused the rod to break in the first place.
the head is all but perfuct... it only has 2 bent intake valves on the cylinder w/ the busted rod... so 2 new valves, lap them, and throw the head back on w/ Mitsu HG and ARP studs.
and for some reason, the #3 main journal is blued... like a stainless steel header kind of blued. i gots no idea what the frick happend there.
im gonna try to salvage the remains, and pull the other 3 good pistons/rods and mic the crank to see if its still in spec. if it is, its goin up for sales. same w/ the pistons and rods... gota check for rod stretch and out-of-round ness on both ends... well you know how it works.
