You wouldn't be using worms on a charter boat. Worms are more of a fresh-water thing, though there are saltwater worms that I've heard can be quite effective in certain types of fishing. I remember an article from the St. Pete Times on the subject, I believe it was the early 80's to late 70's when they had an outdoor writer who wrote some very interesting stories on some of the characters that populated the waterways, shorelines and hunting grounds. One of his stories concerned "the worm man", who dug these worms from the mudflats at low tide to sell to bait shops.
Anyway, if you were to go on a charter, it'd probably just be live bait, frozen bait or frozen squid, if you were going after the usual bottom-fishing stuff.
