The oiling issue has been resolved for some time now. There was also the argument that 347's wore down cylinder walls prematurely because of the rod ratio and the 5.3x rod length. Most are now 5.4 or longer depending on the crank.

I loved my 347's driveability. Cam specs and induction are what is really going to determine driveability, not cubes. If you are going to stroke it, get the cubes out of it.
