i picked up an 99 f250 looks good but has a few small problems. it ran no prblems teh 1st-1nd day 3rd day i go to shut it off and the starter kept spinning even with the key out of the ignition.i put the jey back in and turned it and the truck started(did this 3 times with same effect) then nothing. checked/charged the battery and its good, alternator is new, when i go to turn it over all i get is a single click. i have power to the starter so im guessing that means the sylonoid is ok and bypassing the wires with a screwdriver i got the starter to turn on...so now im guessing its the actuator that ingages the starter to push the gear out???? i have no idea and what would make the starter keep spinning after the key is out? hope someone can give e an idea or direction to check because i only had it 3 days and dying to drive it.......
