In a shared chamber, if one sub blows...the other is more likely soon to follow given you just doubled the volume of the box. Plus, seperate chambers allow more control over the sub given the minor variances between identical equipment. Really it just comes down to putting the extra effort into the enclosure...there's no other reason not to do seperate chambers.
