yup, iy was a ring of rust. we let it sit with pb all over it multiple times, then leonard went at it with a metal hammer for a little bit, and they came off... COATED in salty rust. now, for the calipers... replacing them, theyre so rusted over, and I dont want to push those rusty pistons back.
