Not by any significant amount, all things being equal. The Viper did not get ABS until 2001. At that time there was very little difference between the 2001 Viper and my 1998 Viper. I've driven both extensively and while I never got the chance to spend a day with both at the skid pad IMO there was no significant advantage in stopping difference.

This board has a little higher percentage if enlighted car folks than the average public but I still think it's important to have the discussion. While we may disagree on some points of ABS it's scary that there are many people who do think ABS and the other electronic nannies make them invincible.
Different cars have different mentallities behind the wheel. The minivan driver is not going to have the same train of thought as a sportscar driver. It's that difference that makes the nannies a safety measure on a minivan and a potential liability on a sportscar. Wrecked exotics has tons of nannie equiped wrecks and I'm sure a large portion of them thought they really were invincible.
