Hope the guys that have yet to read this article take the time to read it.
There are a few things I have modified for my own enjoyment, such as hanging off the bike in the corners. A calculated risk I am willing to take, since it will more than likely draw more attention to you than not.
But for the most part it is how I ride, and enjoy my rides on the street. I don't have a bike with a slipper clutch, and such bikes may require a bit more use of the brakes than the article encourages you to use, just remember that you don't want to blow your corner entries, setting those up with anticipation increases the margin of safety in your rides, and helps you be on the throttle more while in a turn.
All said and done, track days are the best way to explore your limits and hone your skills, not the street. Thus, I definitely encourage all to try and go to the track a few times a year... once a month if you can afford it. And then apply what you learn there on the street to increase your enjoyment & lessen your chances of a mistake where you do most of your riding...
