The thing to consider with manual boos controllers as opposed to their electronic counterparts is that they require maintance as weather and season change.

An electronic boost controller will monitor the boost you are producing and bleed boost before the wastegate as needed to keep you at your target goal. A manual controller will just bleed off however much air you have it set for regardless of what boost you are making.
