well I'm not all too sure for every model, but most of the premium bose/mach/whatever have other amps hidden around like on the speakers or int he truck and make it a royal pain in the dick to change the stereo.
if you have the base model, am/fm/cd whatever THEN the cd player contains the amp for the speakers and shoudlne be too much besides a few wiring harnesss
