B20 Vs. B18 - Honda-Tech

Since they are basically the same engine I always say there is no replacement for displacement. sure torque is not as COOL as spinning a 1.6 to 15,000 rpm to get a peak number to impress the girls. But in real life Torque is king. and Displacement = torque. (and off boost power)

the 96-98 B20B engines had a lower more boost friendly 8.8:1 compression, and Remember the B20A is a diffrent engine altogether. those were from the early 90's and late 80's and canted 18 degrees, while there is nothing "wrong" with their design, they do have compatibility issues.. I've heard of a couple people buying B20's and finding this out after the fact.
