they need to redeal with the uions the price per car that gm ford and chylser pay it like 25% more the the japness car copnays because they don't have to deeal with all the uions deal and cost that then is factored in the cars. but to make the cars priced with the eruo and japanees companys they use less qulity and less options to make up for it.

ford as a example is still running on the foucus mk1.5 chassie inthe u.s but thin th uk there up to the mk3 chassie they make more mpg friendy models it the uk and the cars just better because of not having the uion problem like it the us . thats just ford gm and chysler not wanting and not have the forsight to deal with the gas and income problems that are going on is stupid. yes the make cool cars but when the maket is asking for 1.3 l civic's you can't come out with chargers and comeros with 5.9's or 6.0's. also they price out the things that people would want example making hybrids a highend onlt option on there cars and not making it on the lower car like that saturns and such(and not talking about the vue that s is one of saturns top car). the rams are cool but big with big motors very pricy and realy the only thing chryslers got !

the big three just make dumb choices and are realy slow to change in a world or vvtis vetecs mevec zetec dohc high reving small 8's 6 's turbos and super chargers they still want to make low rev old school push rod motors. not knocking that at all but come on we make steath fighter in the u.s we can't make high tech cars???!! i owned a 2 escorts and a subaru and now a mazda the escort good cars didn't feel as well put together as the mazda or subaru's my mom has a toyota ans her little van is tons better then her friend new town and country and cost less . that is stupid the big three need to jump on it and do some shit how long has the new challenger and now the camero been coming out? what about the volt that went from a cool looking sports car to a 4 door grandma car built on a saturn chassie? those cars have been been coming out four i think combined like 5 years. why? subaru says it makeing a new wrx next years its out toyota says a new camrey boom next year its out !!

that my take on it yes they need a bailout but with goals and rules
nothing to help the ceo's or unions. they need to redo ther product lines look into better tech and the stuff people real y want and not focusong on trends that are fast money (suv's)
