for me, i wouldn't buy a new one. I like to get offroad, and the bug eyes have stronger frame components (2002-2003) for thrashing about. Imagine the off road beast you could have if you spent $10k on the 02-03 wrx with 60k miles and dropped $11k into it... full blown rally car (almost)



if you are into street, then /\/\/\/\ is the car for you. You should have someone tune it specifically for your purposes... I had my torque/hp curve tuned lower RPM to help me thrash about in the sand. Worked like a charm!
