What would be needed to make the 88 column work? I have an 86GT that has tilt column that I can cannibalize as a last resort.

The ignition switch itself has the same part number from 79 - 93.

the actual ignition switch that you replaced and the key switch are the same.
if you put the old column in your newer car make sure to get all the trim that goes around it...its all different.
use the multifunction switch from your car NOT the older one if the column comes with it. the cruise control plugs are different also so it and the horn won't work.
