Its like 20 psi through a fire hose will give you more than 100 psi through a garden hose

4v heads are pretty efficient, especially when you consider they're only filling 281ci. In the context of forced induction, there are legions of cars making huge numbers on stock heads, stock VT and stock cams. Why spend the extra $2-3K, if you can accomplish your goal with stock stuff?

Now I'm not saying that you won't see gains from doing the heads and cams, but if you can make 500-800 rwhp with stock stuff easily, why do the extra stuff? Even if you're looking for every last ounce, there are several stock head/vt/cams cars that have made 800-1000+ hp.
