I had a friend who was somehow convinced, (even though he said it half jokingly, i'm pretty sure he felt this way...) that getting a motorcyle would make him "cool" and that "girls will go crazy about it"...

Its usually the people that get a nice bike because their friends have one, or because they really do want to feel "cool".

Also, that girl passenger is a fucking DumbAss for getting on a bike with someone who is drunk. No excuses. No exceptions. No sympathy.
