Yea, I graduated from there a year ago this month. I paid $22K for a years tuition. Everything mike says about it is pretty much true. Its not performance oriented AT ALL. You'll never hear the words Super Strret or Hot Rod-U like the ads mention. The only "performance" classes you take are building a busted 350 and juicing the shit out of it and a class with a guy who knows nothing about "power adders" teach you how a turbo works.

I'm not saying I didn't learn anything, but it definitely wasn't how to be the next big thing in the racing industry. Its a lot of theory and fundamentals; which isn't a bad thing. I think a lot of kids just dont take the time to realize it's all relevant.

I wouldn't say UTI alone is worth it, but moving on to a manufacture-specific training afterwards was more than worth the original tuition cost. I was accepted into the Volkswagen Academy after graduating (which is an entirely DIFFERENT entity than UTI Corp.) and I learned more there in 4 months than I ever could at UTI. I din't have to pay anything but rent (and food) for it either. Although they don't gauruntee a job, they have a %97 hire rate of graduating students.

Take it seriously and you could make it very worth your while.
