I'm looking for some automotive canvas. The top to my convertible has been holy for a while (call it a slash about 2 feet long) and it would be nice to be able to put the top up if i get caught in a rain storm instead of using the at 90 the inside doesn't get wet trick. I'm looking to just patch the hole for now as the car doesn't see bad weather.

I've called some fabric companies around the area looking for black water proof canvas and have not come up with any, in any color

I've been told that i need to look for automotive grade water proof canvas so it will withstand sun abuse

Does anyone know where i can find automotive grade water proof canvas preferably in black, local or via the web?
