Just show up and start driving, worry about mods and building for a class later on. You can be competitive in certain classes, I cant say exactly which ones are the correct ones fox are competitive in. My car was a street mod car, I was always up againist better cars and some in race tires. I did alright and beat a lot of cars, though I chalk it up to driver expierence and not the car itself in that respect.

Auto-X/Road Racing - Tampa Racing has the current schedule for all the local auto-x clubs. Next local SCCA event is in November. You can also join in with the FAST guys, a few mustang guys run with them. There is the Florida Corvette Racing Club. From what ive seen in pics its mainly mustangs,camaros,vettes that run in that club.
