Tuning can cost. My guy is $375 + dyno time. Any retunes though are just $75-150 depending on what needs to be tweaked.

I vote to stay tuned on pump. It is always available and in the end, will be safer because you are not ringing every last ounce of BHP out of your motor.

Unless you can quickly swap tunes from pump and C16 like the Ford guys do with a "Flip-chip." Us GM tuned guys have to load a tune from a laptop and takes 8-10 mins to swap if you have the software.
