I might be more of a Rays fan if 70% of their fans weren't of the bandwagon, all of a sudden sh#t talking, don't really know anything about baseball variety. I realize I talk a fair amount of it when my Sox play and recieve a good amount of it from Yankees fans but 9 times out of 10 they know the game and both clubs have the history and culture to back it up. The Rays definitely have some talent and while the new owners are of the Wall Street variety they know how to run a business.
Still, I watched everyone become a huge Bucs fan around the Super Bowl XXXVII win and everyone become an "always been there" Lightning fan around the '03/04 Cup only to buy decent ticket a few years later with spare cash in my wallet. Now the Bulls and the Rays...I just get the sense I'll be buying a lower level Rays ticket for $10 again in a year or two. I hope I'm wrong, I hope some kind of sports culture develops down here but I don't see it happening any time soon...
