I made this mistake when I did my first SR. HKS 264/272 step3's. The lift and duration are the same as the step2's (and BC's except 272ex), but the lobes are gigantic. That's called area under the curve, and is one of the un-spec'd parts of the cam (duration and lift are the spec'd ones). I made 427whp like that. Car drove like shit. Put in some JWT C1's (264, 12.1mm) which have slightly smaller lift and a LOT smaller lobe. Car makes 421whp, drives great, same peak torque. Honesly, a friend has the same setup and JWT S4's and makes 420whp+, too.

Parting words: Mazworx runs 12.5mm cams and makes 998whp (in 2007). Why do you need 12.5mm cams?
