Bill, don't be afraid to come out. Most guys drive to the track and drive home safely afterwards. That's why it's called SAFE Motorsports! The only ones that trailer are the race prepped guys.

Well the whole reason I ever even did a motor swap was to do some roadracing. I then broke an axle at an autocross event and ever since....well I've been somewhat scared to push the car for fear of being stranded. Bleh, I guess it's about time I get over this fear. The September event looks promising, I will be there either as a spectator or driver.
RoadRacer - It's around $250 for the event, $50 novice fee, and then another $50 for membership. I guess if you're already a member and not a novice then it's a good deal cheaper but...
