Took my car into the dealership for the transmission problems this car has been plagued with.
A little bit of history the original tranny blew the 1/2 shift fork that needed the recall work. The service writer at the time said drive it until it breaks. There was no TSB issued at that time. So I did and when it broke it lunched the entire tranny by chewing up the broken shift fork.
Ford replaced it with a rebuilt 3650 from Mexico. The thing had a horrible vibration at interstate speeds from the day they installed it. I took it back in and the suspension changes were blammed for the problem although the suspension had no problems with the original transmission.
Moving on to present the tranny devloped a leak out of the tailshaft of the transmission. No doubt a results of the excessive vibration of the transmission. Now Ford refuses to correct the problem and have voided my engine/drivetrain warranty due to aftermarket parts. So I'm stuck with a bad transmission they installed. They are now blaming the driveshaft or possibly the suspension/coilovers

as the possible culperate. Or might be a pinion angle problem. Grasping at straws I'd say. As I mentioned before none of this was a problem until THEY replaced the tranny with the rebuilt unit.
My question to you guys is where to go from here. I really wouldn't be that pissed that they denied to do further work on the car but the fact they stuck a bad tranny in the car to start with and then leave me to foot the bill to correct there problem really peaves me.
Am I stuck with my own out of pocket expense or is there someone at Ford I should contact to see if they can approve another repair for the car? I also have a platium warranty on the car that is totally worthless is there a way to recoupe this money since it was never used? Thanks guys.
