i used to race 1:10 scale electric touring cars. YEARS AGO! It was fun at organized racing events and I did pretty good back then, and I've had a nitro car as well. But after zipping around a parking lot for an hour, nitro gets boring. Unless you are racing....and with nitro you have to spend tons of $ to keep up with the faster cars out there. Seems nitro classes bring out all the high rollers when it comes to RC. So it takes the fun out of racing for the average casual racer. Just like real racing. All about the big $.

Thats what I liked about mini-z. They are cheap, they are clean, and you can race them anywhere. They are pretty hard to drive well, so mod'd or stock everyone has a fair chance.
What's cool about the mini-z, is that you can race on your lunch break at work in the back office or break room floor. Yes, nitro and 1:10 scale is better, but you can't race anytime, anywhere with them.

I started this site YEARS ago when we were actively racing.
