That would be a cool swap,.. Pinto's were all 4 spd cars. Worst case he might have to have the drive shaft shortened a bit. Be worth it in my opinion. Yeah,.. I guess they did have the 2.3 in the pinto in 78. They had the 2.8 v6 also. Nightmare motor. They had a plastic timing gear that was notorious for coming apart during a cold start in severe freezing weather.
