I've had bad luck with buying used carbs,.. thats why I'm trying to be cautious about this. Looks like a lot of money in that carb. Billet plate, proform body, billet metering blocks and standard Holley bowls. Easily a $1000 carb. My question is if its so good.. why trade for a $500 intake? Whats wrong with it?
From the pics it looks like it was slapped together and passed around a few times. Doesnt always mean there is anything wrong with it,.. but then I really dont know you. I would like to think everyone is a stand up guy and honest.
I dont want to commit to a trade unless I am sure there is nothing wrong with your carb. The intake I have is in beautiful condition. I'll stand behind it 100% as with anything else I sell. If you came back and said this intake wont work for your application,.. I would take it back even if it meant taking a loss. Would you be willing to do the same? If I come back 2 weeks later and say this carb has some major issues,.. will you take it back?
If we do the trade I would definitely want some jets included with it. (I'm thinking thats too much carb for my little motor). The 4150 HP carb I was going to buy after I sold the intake came with a jet kit. Dont need a rebuild kit,.. they arent that expensive. I would be willing to buy that. Does it use standard Holley jets? That carb will flow what,.. 825 cfm with the Proform body?
