Hi again John. How much would the starter kit cost me and how soon do you think you'll have one available for the Insight?
Plus, I'm curious about the performance and the way this thing work's on the hybrid.
When you accelerate, the electric motor kick's in and act's like a turbo, but you drain the battery pack. With the gas-engine's turbo charger, do you use the electric assist less often, or do the two work in sinc?
I noticed when pushing the Insight hard, "I tend to treat it like my older CRX," that when the electric motor's battery is drained out, the car is pretty much a whimp, especially with all the hill's we have here in Colorado.
So question is, how much more boost will the turbo provide me, and will I use less of the electric-assist?
I'm looking at having a budget of around 3000 including having the body work fixed and repainted.
Oh, almost forgot, my mechanic friend sais he has a couple of turbo's, but the question is what sized turbo do you guy's use in the Insight? If he's got the correct sized turbo, than all we'd need from you would be the manifold and down pipes.
