IF vtec is not working then the redline drops. Putting it on a switch is the wrong way to fix it cause the low redline is still there and theres no fuel to help the hich lifting lobes. Try to see if your nock sensor is hooked up and make sure your oil pressure switch is working as well as the vtec sylnoid.. If one of those is out then vtec is screwed...You can check your ecu but dont assume the worst..
