We had a young (early 20's) kid's suby here, he approved everything we did to his car. Engine build, turbo, the works. Comes time to pickup and pay the balance and he tries to deny any of it and wanted 12K comp'd off the bill. We had collected 6K at that point.

We would pull the car out in the morning for space reasons in the shop. We caught him slowly driving by with his buddy checking out his car, around the block then back to see it some more. We stopped parking it outside. Had to file a lien. He still owed on it. The lien scared him enough to cough up the funds.
