Charity has a place and this situation isn't it. It's not as though someone needs a live-saving operation. You don't see GM or Ford asking for paypal handouts because they were shortsighted and produced too many large vehicles that won't sell now because of gas prices.
If you don't think that's
exactly what their Lobbyists are doing in Washington, then you have an extremely limited view of how America's government works.
The shop did not solicit donations, they were offered by the community.
