I just registered here from Corvette Forum Off Topic. There have been some good ideas given in this thread for the shop owner. The best one is to charge realistic storage fees from the day the work was completed and he showed up with non-payment. Figure out how much space his car is taking in your shop(ie. 25%, 40% etc), and then figure out that percentage of your overhead expenses(rent, phone, insurance, etc). Divide that by the days in the month. Let's say $65.00 per day. Then add your shop rate per hour times 8 to make a day. That should be your storage rate, as you cannot store this car outside for obvious reasons. Many people have offered to donate via Paypal to help you out legally, and it may be wise to accept their offer. Don't be too proud to accept this, as this little situation has the potential to wipe you out as a business in legal fees. I wish you the best, as I have dealt with people like this in the past, but not for this amount of money. John
