Our car was 100% legal. Of course that's because we had to find a theft recovery shell, and a motor that was sitting in a shed for 4 years.. but it was legal.. I thought the BS judges would be a lot more particular than they were honestly.. there are definately some "cheating" that I think I'll be doing next year (like a new f'ing clutch ahead of time!).
