sure, a 275 on the same car will most likely have more lateral grip than a 225.

i've never had a problem with grip at any driving event with sticky 225's. its fine with me, and i enjoy the way it drives.
do you really think youre going to get more grip out of your car with 315's on the back as oipposed to a still wide, but practical say 255?
most likely not, and it will be at the point of diminishing returns.
