Makes sense something as a package built for balance would be better for bearings and really everything.
Think about it for a minute, how would a clutch affect engine bearings? 2 ways, the clutch is out of balance (bad), and the pressure plate pushes against the thrust bearing(s) when you push the clutch in. Heavier pressure plates = more work for the thrust bearing. It has no more, and no less wear and tear on engine bearings, than similar strength pressure plates.
