ok so I am not on tr much but most of the hybrids that roll through my work place average 45-50 mpg. What would be so bad about making a 40-45 mpg hybrid that would bring the rest of the broke world on board. If they can make it appealing to the 16-25yr old age bracket and put the price under 30k, I think it would be marketing genius.

the prius will always be a big seller but if toyota had a sport looking (not sport functioning) hybrid, wouldn't they dominate the hybrid market and bring the next generation of car drivers away from the fuel inefficient sport cars?
