The owner of that beautiful EF should have been crushed not the car. What a waste, restore it, build it and then take it out on the street and waste it. Now look at it, another one lost and for what?
I have several SCCA and SCCA sponsor stickers including my number and class on my EF hatch from National Tour events that I do not trailer to events but drive to them. I haven't had any problems with the police so far and can't even remember being rev'd at a light.
Simply put if you spend the money use it wisely for your enjoyment, don't give anyone a good reason to take it away from you. And fight like hell if they try to for no reason at all!

I see people out there spending money on the car to improve it … If you spend half that effort just working on your driving skills, making you and the car work together as a team, then you’ll go faster – period. To make the car go a second faster on the track takes a lot more energy and money than making yourself drive it one second faster.
