When you're checking for tierods, balljoints, etc, you're just seeing if they're loose or broken. If that's the case, you'd have other symptoms. Every time my cars have had a shake at 50-60mph, it's always been a bent wheel. Once you're done checking things out, jack the front of the car up and spin the wheel by hand freely. Look under the car at the inside of the wheel. With the wheel spinning, it's easy to spot a bend/out of round.
