a lightened flywheel will not hurt u unless you go too light, you dont really want anything under 12 pounds on a turbo car. but i have a 10.5lbs flywheel on my truck and i dont have any issues. i really wouldnt go any less than that though. balance is the key, you can't go too far either way. and the eagle rod will be fine too. what turbo do you plan on running?
