I do 5 over...no matter what the speed limit is. It's not worth a ticket to me--the money spent on the ticket fine and the insurance getting raised isn't worth getting somewhere only a few minutes sooner.

everyone is bitching about high gas prices...going 55 saves more gas than going 75-80 believe it or not.

in the july 08 issue of consumer reports they tested an 08 camry and yielded these results...

55mph-40mpg
65mph-35mpg
75mph-30mpg

if you have a 100mi trip and you go 55 it'll take just about 2 hours to get there, and you'll use 2.5 gallons of gas

drive at 75 and you get there in about an hour and a half +/- a few minutes, but you'll use over 3 gallons of gas.

it is not much of a difference either way I'm not defending either side, but ppl bitch about gas prices AND speed limits, so there are two scenarios for you to decide your driving habits upon
