I think its great if you can hack two cars. My mustang is for racing and I have the BMW for daily fun. Down here I guess it aint that bad but in N.Y. the emissions laws suck and so you cant get away with too many radical mods. Thats one of the reasons I decided to build a race car for track use, plus I wanted to get off the street. I think the ///M3 a great car from the factory so I chose to leave it stock and not have to worry about breaking anything or voiding my warranty. I use the van in bad weather and to do running around for bullshit and tow my Mustang.
